serendipity

'For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, a debt to be paid. At last it dawned upon me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one. Happiness is a journey, not a destination.' Fr. Alfred D'Souza

I had the pleasure of chatting with a wonderful coach from Byron Bay yesterday. Kate Ramsay has been coaching since the early 1980s (before coaching was even called coaching). As often happens with the people you're meant to meet in life, our paths had crossed a couple of times without us even knowing one another. Finally, Kate emailed me and we decided to have a chat.

Our work is very aligned - although we market it slightly differently. Kate coaches leaders and runs individual retreats at her property in Byron Bay. Have a look at her website for more information.

After we spoke, Kate sent me some information about her programs as well as a copy of her recent newsletter which included the beautiful D'Souza quote above. I have read this quote many times before and it is one of my favourites.

Isn't it strange how that happens?
