the real you

Recently, someone asked me the question 'when is it that you feel most like the real you?'. I'd like to say that I'm the real me all of the time. But I realised there are times when I find it easier to be really real.

When I'm cooking for family or friends I feel a great sense of connection with the real me. When I'm writing, taking photos, working with clients, walking along the beach, gardening or meditating - these are the times when I feel most me.

I find it easier to feel a connection to my true self in nature - or when I can at least see my garden or feel the warmth of the sun as it streams through my windows. Even hearing the rain on the tin roof makes me feel that I'm in touch with something real.

What about you? What are the places and roles that make you feel most like the real you?

If you're interested to hear more on this topic, join us for Robert Rabbin's 'Five Principles of Authentic Living' talk on Tuesday 17 August in Melbourne. We still have a handful of places free.

Hey there Anon
I couldn't see the link...maybe you can try again? I'm very happy for you to just send them through. I love your tips.

Unfortunately I've been getting quite a few spam comments so I've had to turn moderation on. Please keep commenting though!
